Australia Resumes UNRWA Funding Amidst Israeli Attacks on Gaza Aid Seekers
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong announced on Friday that Australia would be “unpausing” funding to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). This decision comes in response to Israel’s accusations that 450 members of the agency’s staff had participated in the attacks in southern Israel that ignited the ongoing conflict. Minister Wong refuted these allegations.
