An Eruption of an Icelandic Volcano Leads to the Evacuation of the Blue Lagoon
According to Iceland’s public broadcaster RÚV, the renowned Blue Lagoon and the neighboring town of Grindavik were evacuated on Saturday due to a volcanic eruption in the Reykjanes Peninsula. The Icelandic Met Office indicated that lava was advancing swiftly towards the north of Grindavík, reminiscent of the eruption on February 8. RUV later reported that lava was also heading towards Grindavíkurvegur road, the primary route to Grindavik.

As Ukrainian attacks intensify, malls and schools in the Russian border region are shut down
Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has announced the closure of all schools and colleges on Monday and Tuesday in response to increasing Ukrainian attacks in specific areas of the Russian region of Belgorod. The Indian Navy Successfully Seizes a Vessel from Somali Pirates
Indian naval forces, aided by special commandos, have successfully seized a hijacked cargo vessel from Somali pirates, saving 17 crew members, according to a navy spokesperson. The navy announced on the social media platform X that all 35 pirates aboard the Maltese-flagged MV Ruen surrendered. Following the operation, the vessel underwent thorough inspection to ensure no illegal arms, ammunition, or contraband were aboard.
