TRUDEAU FACES MOUNTING LIBERAL REVOLT

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing mounting pressure as discontent brews within his Liberal Party. Following the resignation of Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland over policy disagreements, at least 51 Liberal MPs from Ontario, the party’s stronghold, have called for Trudeau to step down. Freeland’s exit has highlighted frustrations with Trudeau’s leadership, sparking calls for her to take the helm. Additionally, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh has vowed to withdraw support for Trudeau, potentially triggering a no-confidence vote and early elections. UK LINK IN KHALISTAN TERROR MODULE NEUTRALISED IN INDIA

A joint operation by Punjab and Uttar Pradesh Police neutralised three Khalistani terrorists linked to the banned Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF). Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed that the terror module was overseen by UK-based Jagjeet Singh, an alleged British Army officer. The operation recovered two AK-47 rifles, two Glock pistols, and ammunition. The terrorists were reportedly involved in a grenade attack on a Gurdaspur police post. Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover the module’s wider network, including its connections to Pakistan’s ISI and operatives in Greece.

RUSSIA WELCOMES NINE BRICS PARTNER NATIONS

Russia confirmed that nine countries will officially join BRICS as partner states starting January 1, 2025. The announcement follows a summit in Kazan, where a new partner country category was introduced. Nations including Belarus, Bolivia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda, and Uzbekistan have accepted the invitation. Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov shared that four more nations are expected to respond soon, while Eritrea has shown interest in cooperation. Partner countries will participate in BRICS summits, foreign ministers’ meetings, and security and parliamentary events, marking a significant expansion of the bloc’s global influence.

PAKISTAN TO BUY CHINESE STEALTH JETS

Pakistan is set to procure 40 J-35 stealth fighter jets from China, aiming to replace its aging fleet of F-16s and Mirage fighters. The J-35, a land-based variant of the J-31, is designed for air superiority missions and represents China’s advancements in stealth technology. If finalized, this will mark the first export of J-35 jets to a foreign ally. Speculation about the deal intensified after the aircraft’s display at China’s Zhuhai air show, attended by senior Pakistan Air Force officials. This acquisition highlights the growing military alliance between China and Pakistan.

JENIN CONFLICT IN WEST BANK ESCALATES TENSIONS

The Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank has become a battleground between Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces and militant factions, including Hamas-aligned groups. The PA launched a large-scale operation to reclaim control, but militants, entrenched in the camp, continue to resist. The violence has polarized residents, leaving many without water, electricity, and basic resources. While the PA accuses militants of endangering civilians, locals criticize the authority for its heavy-handed tactics.
