The final rehearsal and comprehensive system airtightness check for the upcoming Shenzhou-18 manned spaceflight mission were successfully completed on Tuesday, with both the taikonauts and launch site reported to be in optimal condition. This mission marks the first April launch since the construction of China’s Tiangong space station. According to insiders, April presents the windiest and sandiest weather conditions at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

Russia and China’s amendment, extending the ban to all space weapons, failed with 7-7 vote and one abstention. The amendment urged immediate actions for preventing weapon deployment in space and the use of force from space, advocating for legally binding multilateral agreements via negotiations.
