Foxconn, Apple’s primary contract manufacturer, is set to commence iPhone shipments from its new facility in Devanahalli, Karnataka, starting June 2025. This development marks a significant step in Apple’s strategy to diversify its manufacturing operations beyond China. The Devanahalli plant, which began production in 2024, is expected to play a pivotal role in Apple’s plan to produce 25-30 million iPhones in India by the end of 2025, doubling the previous year’s output of 12-13 million units . This expansion aligns with Apple’s broader initiative to bolster its production capacity in India.

YOUTUBER HELD IN ESPIONAGE CASE
In a major bust, Indian authorities arrested six individuals, including Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, for allegedly spying for Pakistan. Malhotra, who ran the channel “Travel with Jo,” visited Pakistan in 2023 and developed ties with Pakistani High Commission staffer Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish. She allegedly shared sensitive Indian information via platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram. Danish, now expelled from India, introduced her to multiple ISI operatives. Malhotra reportedly had an intimate relationship with one and traveled with him to Bali. Other arrests include a Punjab widow, her friend, a Haryana student, and a SIM card supplier linked to Pakistani intelligence.

RUSSIAN DRONE STRIKE KILLS CIVILIANS
A Russian drone strike targeted a civilian bus in Bilopillia, Ukraine’s northeastern Sumy region, killing at least nine people and injuring seven, just hours after rare peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Turkey. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy condemned the attack as a deliberate assault on civilians, stressing that the bus was evacuating non-combatants. Independent verification remains pending. Meanwhile, Russia claimed it had targeted a Ukrainian military site. Global leaders, including those from the UK and Australia, condemned the strike. KHAMENEI CALLS ISRAEL ‘CANCEROUS TUMOR’

Accusing Democrats of orchestrating a “witch hunt,” Trump alleged misuse of the Autopen—an electronic signature device—as part of a larger conspiracy. He blamed the January 6 committee for deleting evidence and repeated assertions that Biden, Obama, and Comey conspired against him. Despite multiple investigations confirming no significant voter fraud, Trump insists he won by millions. The Capitol riots, led by his supporters, were previously labeled domestic terrorism.
