NETANYAHU EYES IRAN REGIME CHANGE

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has suggested that Israel’s ongoing military operation could lead to regime change in Iran, calling the Islamic Republic “very weak.” However, experts and Iranian citizens disagree. Amid relentless airstrikes and a rising death toll, most Iranians—though critical of their regime—oppose foreign intervention. Public sentiment leans toward national unity during wartime, not uprising. Even prominent dissidents have denounced Israel’s actions, emphasizing civilian suffering. Analysts warn Netanyahu’s assumptions may backfire, reinforcing nationalism instead of toppling the regime. Regional voices caution that forced regime change only deepens instability.

MOSSAD FEAR GRIPS IRAN

Iran has arrested dozens suspected of spying for Israel after a Mossad-led infiltration triggered Israeli airstrikes deep within the country. A man was executed Monday for past espionage, while 60 were arrested in Isfahan for pro-Israel posts. Iran’s Intelligence Ministry urged citizens to report suspicious behavior, warning of strangers wearing masks or receiving frequent deliveries. Tehran’s paranoia has escalated since Israel reportedly smuggled weapons into Iran to enable drone and air attacks. Authorities have seized suicide drones and explosives, and journalists face strict restrictions. Crackdowns now target activists, social media users, and even news outlets across the country.

MODI SLAMS TERROR DOUBLE STANDARDS

At the G7 Outreach Session in Canada, PM Narendra Modi warned against global “double standards” on terrorism—remarks widely seen as a veiled jab at the US. His comments coincided with former President Donald Trump hosting Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir, despite India presenting proof of Pakistan’s involvement in April’s Pahalgam terror attack. Modi urged nations to adopt a unified, zero-tolerance approach to terror, stating those aiding terrorists must be held accountable. He also stressed India’s commitment to green energy. Modi declined Trump’s stopover invitation, citing a scheduled visit to Croatia after the G7 Summit.

NETANYAHU REGAINS POLITICAL GROUND SWIFTLY

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has regained firm control over Israeli politics following the launch of Operation Rising Lion against Iran. Facing political pressure and a looming confidence vote just days prior; the military campaign has united political factions and silenced protests. Netanyahu’s long-standing stance on Iran has culminated in this offensive, shifting public focus from corruption charges and the Gaza war. Though praised for the bold move, experts warn the operation’s long-term political benefit remains uncertain. Without clear diplomatic success, Netanyahu’s resurgence could be short-lived despite temporarily rallying the Israeli public and parliament.

INDIA, CANADA RESET DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

India and Canada have agreed to restore diplomatic ties nearly two years after Ottawa accused New Delhi of involvement in the 2023 killing of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. On the sidelines of the G7 summit in Alberta, Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Mark Carney announced the reinstatement of high commissioners in both countries. While the Nijjar issue wasn’t mentioned publicly, both leaders emphasized cooperation in tech, food security, and critical minerals. Their meeting reflects a shift towards constructive engagement despite ongoing protests by Sikh groups abroad and a continuing judicial investigation in Canada.
