Why China has begun encircling Taiwan with new drills?

With China beginning military manoeuvres encircling Taiwan just days after the democracy swore in a new leader who Beijing has long despised, tensions in the Taiwan Strait are once again rising.

In what China called “punishment” for “separatist acts,” the drills got underway early on Thursday, presumably in reference to the election and inauguration of Lai Ching-te as the new president of the self-governing island.

Another indefinite delay for the Boeing Starliner

NASA has not yet announced a replacement date for the much awaited crewed maiden trip of Boeing’s Starliner, but a Saturday target date has been withdrawn.

NASA released a statement saying, “The team has been in meetings for two consecutive days, assessing flight rationale, system performance, and redundancy.” “Further work in these areas is still ongoing, and discussions are ongoing regarding the next potential launch opportunity.”


The tragedy of Singapore Airlines

According to a study from the University of Reading in England that was published last year, clear-air turbulence over the North Atlantic, one of the busiest flight routes in the world, increased by 55% between 1979 and 2020. Wind patterns can be impacted by warmer temperatures. According to the paper, the main culprit is greenhouse gas emissions.

University of Chicago experts concur, predicting that rising temperatures may cause the “fastest upper-level jet stream” to experience faster wind speeds.
